The Knowledge Exists, but the Manpower is Lacking

Today’s scholars rarely have the ability to translate the books that address the issues we face due to financial & time constraints. Ummah Spot is a website where scholars can translate books and risaalaat, chapter-by-chapter, while being financially supported during the process. This way, we can spread the knowledge of the guided scholars of the past.

Strength in Numbers

Currently, while many scholars may have large social media followings, they earn no money from their work. By creating a single hub where Muslims can subscribe to an ever-growing library of translations, we create an extremely valuable platform that can generate income for those scholars.

We are a library where scholars & students can post their scholarly works and generate income to help continue their efforts to spread the words of the scholars of our tradition.

By creating a collective of independent creators, scholars can immediately earn money for their work without relying on unstable income from publishers or institutions.

Our future goals are to create a large repository of books and a feature rich interface. Here are some of our plans:

• Complete translations of core teaching texts in Usul, Kalam, Mantiq, Fiqh, and the other sciences.
• Hire qualified scholars and experts to review and annotate texts and translations.
• Design features such as automatic exporting to PDF, night mode, and a native iOS and Android app.
• Use AI/Machine Learning to create association analysis to identify patterns and common themes across sciences.
• Hire a full-time scholar in-residence who can edit and translate texts.
• Produce printed editions of all completed and edited texts.
• Bring qualified scholars and translators onto the existing platform to be valued contributors.
• Create a subscription model for guest contributors to create an audience and be supported for their work.
• Advanced semantical search powered by AI and RegEx search tools for researchers.
