Al-Furuq

This edition comes with two commentaries, Idrar Al-Shuruq Ala Anwa Al Furuq, and Tahdhib Al Furuq. This is one of the most important texts in Usul/Fiqh ever written, sparking an entirely new science of Furuq, altogether separate from any other science. It sparked an entirely new genre of books in the Furuq category. Al-Furuq focuses on identifying the subtle differences that differentiate seemingly similar concepts, such as the difference between Shahada (testimony) and Riwaya (narration) and their subsequent impacts. Or, the difference between a Sabab in Nahw vs. in Fiqh. The text explores all sorts of topics, including philosophy of language, ethics, spirituality, and of course all the Islamic sciences.
