Al-Tabsira

Al-Tabsira is one of the most important source texts in Maliki Fiqh written by the Sicilian author Imam Al-Lakhmi and one of the four scholars that Imam Khalil considered authoritative in the matters of Tarjih. Imam Al-Lakhmi was also the teacher of Imam Al-Mazari who was considered by some to be a mujtahid mutlaq. The text is filled with ta'lil for Maliki rulings from the perspective of Usul ul-Fiqh. The author also explains the various riwayat of Imam Malik and his students from the Mudawwana and the other mother-texts.
